Review on πŸ”§ DasMarine 12V 60W Oil Change Pump Extractor: Efficient Oil and Diesel Fluid Transfer for Trucks, RVs, Boats, and ATVs by Dustin Barry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent device for transferring low viscosity fluids (not gasoline)

I have used this device to pump synthetic gear oil into the transmission when draining and adding fluid. When changing gear oil in a "sealed" transmission, there was an awkward spot to add fluid. The device draws 4.5 amps at 13.2 volts. I used the power supply I had and set it to 13.2 volts. I tried a 12v 18ah battery I had and the pump drained it in about 40 seconds. Used a power pack with the above settings and it pumped about 1 liter per minute. I used it for a full fluid exchange and ran 10 liters of fluid through upon completion. The device had no issues, but may require an extra hand to hold the hoses or attach them to the containers. The unit sat on the ground and could easily be pumped out of a 5 liter container onto the ground and then lifted about 24 inches into the filler plug on the transmission. Again about 1 liter per minute. The fluid was synthetic with low viscosity. Transmission fluid. This pump is NOT designed for viscous or hot fluids. I had it at room temperature and had no problems. Used for this one project so I have no idea of the durability or fluid resistance of the pump itself. Unsealed so NO FLAMMABLES or SOLVENTS Inexpensive and did the job required.
