Review on πŸ‘  Golden Vionic Orthaheel Amber Women's Shoes for Enhanced Style and Comfort by Puggzy Wallin

I LOVE/HATE these sandals!

The support these sandals offer is the closest I've come to wearing custom orthotics. I can slip them on straight away and wear them comfortably and they have enough padding to make them comfortable but not so much that weak ankles are bothered. That alone makes this shoe one that I will continue to buy, but will do so with a firm jaw. Comfort aside, these are the most expensive poorly made shoes I've ever bought! The ones I bought last year had a faux wood plastic insole cover that quickly began to peel and continues to peel. "Leather" lining also came off. You could tell where I walked in the house by the trail I left as the pieces fell off. "Dandruff" from shoes detached massively - most of the paint on the edges of all straps is now Black Magic Marker. The last one I bought (probably looks like cork) was cheapened with gold paint which not only makes the sandal look cheap but also distracts from the medallions between the straps. I hope it wears out as quickly as my first pair's "wooden bed" did. I don't understand how or why someone smart enough to design the PERFECT SANDAL made it cheaper by using really crappy materials for the visible part of the shoe. I would happily pay more to get real leather. Oh, but then I probably wouldn't have to buy new shoes as often - maybe that's how they argue. Oh how I hope someone finds a comparable insole with quality face materials - I'll switch brands then! In the meantime, if you have high arches and flexible feet that require a heel cup, then welcome to the "buy it even if it's ugly, cheaply made and wears out too quickly" club.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not everything fits
