Definitely better ingredients than most. The first ingredients are meat. Looks like lentils are the first filler mentioned, and it's ingredient #7. Other fillers include: tapioca starch, field peas, flaxseed, tomato pomace, cranberries, blueberries, sweet potatoes, squash, and more. My house cats all eat carnivores. This eliminated her urinary problems. I ended up feeding this to my outdoor cats, who are mostly hunters, and then feeding them mornings and evenings on the porch. Even before this food, I fed my "foreign" kitten with a mixture. They seem to be doing better. The outsiders seemed to be eating well and enjoying the food. All in all a winner. Carnivore is better, but better than most. No regret.
