Review on Pulse Oximeter Fingertip: Digital Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor For Heart Rate & SpO2 Level Monitoring - Portable LCD Pulse Oximeter With Batteries Included by Antonio Liberty

By far the best value I've seen in pulse oximeters

I have had three pulse oximeters and looked at dozens of them. This one is by far the best value for the price that I have seen. It has a full color, high-resolution display that allows for showing a real-time trace of the signal. Not only is seeing this in real time cool, I argue that I can get more accurate results because I have a better understanding of how holding still and waiting the appropriate amount of time will improve the accuracy and stability of the results. The only dings I would give it are that the display font is a little small, so I definitely need my reading glasses (perhaps showing off how fine their display is), and the power button is a little fussy. From what I can tell so far, the powerup requires the button to be held for a certain window of time. Short presses don't always activate it. Longer presses do the trick, always before the 4th try. I'm not 100% sure what is going on there, but it has never failed to turn on-- it just takes a few presses.

Pros
  • Gives accurate readings quickly.
Cons
  • The device may not provide consistent readings for individuals with low blood pressure
