I bought this case for my son's high school Chromebook. I have taken great care to ensure that I have the correct model number and year. I've read in other reviews that the model and year makes a big difference in how the cap fits. The material feels like a strong, hard plastic. The color is nice and the fit is good. The only thing I don't like about the lid is the way it attaches to the Chromebook. The lid has grooves that fit around the edges of the Chromebook. In the few days my son has been using the case, he said it has ripped off a couple of times. In addition to the protrusions, there must be means for attaching the cover.
