I run a CNC machine shop, vertical milling machines and lathes. We've been processing much more complex non-standard threads lately and I'm having trouble finding available calibers to test post-processing. I decided to try them out to see if they work and I'm very glad I did! This allows me to check every external thread in the measuring range of the micrometer myself to check the pitch diameter. As long as the outside diameter of the thread is correct before threading, you will be accurately told the pitch diameter and can calculate the secondary diameter. Now I can inspect standard and metric threads without taking the part off the machine and without getting lost. You can't measure internal threads, but you can make your own GO/NO GO gauges so you can do it! This eliminates the need to measure across the wire and calculate the geometry of the thread profile. They have made my life in the store so much easier and they are affordable! They cost significantly less than comparable products on the market and are very well made in my opinion. They don't feel "loose" or rattling and have a firm feel when you pick them up. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it to anyone who has doubts about buying it.
