This appears to be a quality dishwasher strong enough for use in the food industry. The material of the handle seems very strong and is molded as a base for the mechanism making everything very stable and strong. I received this specifically for measuring the waffle batter for my Chef's Choice Classic Waffle Maker Chef's Choice 840B WafflePro Express Waffle Maker, Classic Belgian, at the recommendation of another waffle maker owner. The batter in his recipe is quite thick and tends to build up in the bowl, and bowl number 10 (beige handle) measures 1/2 cup (exactly what the waffle iron calls for). Unfortunately, for my recipes, the batter tends to be more runny, making dish #8 a better fit for my needs. In short, if you have a waffle iron that calls for 1/2 cup of batter, use #10 for heavy batter and #8 for batter. Either way, it's the perfect way to quickly and accurately measure waffle batter (or anything else) without making a mess.
