I have two of these to glue an octagonal window frame with bird's mouth connectors, which may seem rather esoteric, but the clips work well and fill a need that is long overdue. They are easier to use than a band clamp for partial assemblies. You can quickly adjust them to any angle, and they can be attached (screwed) to a bracket to make brackets. They're well made but not heavy - if you need an adjustable clamp for even edge pressure for big bonding jobs or for welding something substantial, they're not for you. However, you can make a similar sized contraption using a pair of hinged plates and regular clamps.
