After trying to mount this lamp on the wall when it fell out and almost broke I was ready to return it. I found the instructions to be overly general and completely useless. What should have taken a good 15 minutes took 45. Now I've never installed wall lights before so I accept a personal error. However, I don't think the instructions are that good. After I was able to tighten it and mount the panel to the wall, I inserted my lightbulb. I kept the lamp next to my bed for several days and used it as a reading light at night. He is quite mobile and quite flexible. There are many ways to bring light closer or further away. All in all it was a good buy. For those who consider themselves an experienced man or woman or who know how to assemble/install things, this is a fairly easy installation. If not, I was able to find videos on YouTube that explained it to me.
