Review on Pentek NCP BB 🔳 Carbon Impregnated Polyester Cartridge Filter by John Murphy

I bought 2 of these Pentek filters because in the past activated carbon filters have improved the taste of drinking water. Sometimes I left her for 6 months or more. This time, however, both filters began to let the carbon into the water, which I only noticed after 4 weeks! The water in our white cups in the bathroom suddenly turned grey! When I took the cartridge out of the filter canister I saw the mess. See attached photo. The carbon has leached out of the filter into the water. I've been using activated carbon filters for decades and these two times are the only times this has happened. Obviously the production in Mexico went wrong. Pentek needs to improve its process.
