I really wanted this monitor mount to be very affordable, good looking and well built compared to others. Also, I needed something that could support a heavy 32 inch monitor (around 19-20 pounds). This is a high quality mount - everything was very strong and durable. However, the design of the legs and the lack of padding let him down. I needed to attach a stand to the side of a monitor and the weight of it all caused instability to my legs, lifting one of them off the table surface significantly as there are really only two points of contact (unlike the "Plate" -Design of some other mounts for monitors). Since there is only a small round pad on each leg, this caused the foot to hit my table and damage the surface. It's a shame, otherwise it was a great monitor mount - I had mine back. If you're using it to mount a lighter monitor in a more centered position, that would probably be great. But if you need to compensate for that, it doesn't work very well.
