Review on Component Converter YPBPR Support Player by Craig Rossman

I had to replace my TV and the new one only had HDMI. So I got this adapter for my DVD player and everything was great until I tried playing old DVDs. Not sure about the age range, but it will play, say, the new Marvel DVDs quite well, but not Labyrinth or Aliens. The menu loads but the movie becomes a wavy blur. I'm not a techie, but my money rests on how old DVDs were encoded, not the adapter's fault(?). Please correct me if I'm wrong. So I just got a new HDMI DVD player and now all discs play fine and I have this adapter on hand for something else.
