That's probably the only negative I can say about the

I only received the system yesterday (March 6th), just over a week after the release date. But that's really the only negative thing I can say about the kit. The wait was worth it! As soon as I saw the ad for this kit I knew I should jump on it while I could after having some disappointing luck missing out on the Pikachu 3DS XL. I didn't really know anything about this new system other than the fact that it was "better". in terms of graphics, battery life and processing power. But I'll try to show some of the differences I've noticed so far along with a few pictures. /or feature placement comparisons. Differences that I noticed right away: - There is NO charger included with the system! It uses the same charger as previous 3DS models. Personally, that wasn't a problem for me, but if you're buying this as a gift for someone who doesn't already have a N3DS family system, you'll probably want a charger too! They must be pretty cheap. The game card slot is at the bottom of the system and on the left side, rather than the top center like the other two. - The position of the pen has changed again. With the original it started at the top (with a sliding pin), with the XL it has moved to the side with a stronger pin and is now located at the bottom next to the headphone jack. The stylus for this workaround is thinner than previous incarnations and as short as the original, but not extendable (unless I'm missing something). - Difficult to access SD card, both original and XL. You must remove the back cover to access it. I haven't done this yet, but I read that the new N3DS uses a MICRO SD card, not a regular SD card like the others. Seems to require bezels. To be honest I had no idea what the system itself looked like and I thought the bezels were just extra elements, but it turned out that this system required bezels. As you can see from one of the pics the bottom bezel is actually screwed on and I believe it covers the innards (and micro SD card access) but I haven't actually tested it! The upper front panel is locked. Without the plate, however, the system looks incomplete. I've attached a picture (very blurry, sorry) of what it looks like without the top bezel. But with plates I think the system is very chic! And one of my favorite improvements: a much better 3D setting! That's what I mean. If you've ever dealt with an earlier N3DS, you probably know that it's a little tricky to keep the system in the right position to get the right 3D effect. The New Nintendo 3DS uses an inward-facing camera to measure the position of your face and adjust the 3D output based on your viewing angle. I had no idea it had this ability and only discovered it during installation. I was able to look at the screen at a fairly exaggerated side angle and still see 3D. That's very impressive! I don't even have 3D enabled when playing games, but I still like this improvement. Other miscellaneous button changes/placement. The new N3DS has two additional shoulder buttons that I wasn't aware of - ZL and ZR, which are located next to L and R. - There is an additional analog stick, but it doesn't slide like the main stick as I expected. It's actually very tight and feels hard to squeeze, but it probably just takes some getting used to. The power button is on the bottom of the system (next to the stylus) and not inside the other buttons. I don't think there will be many problems if you accidentally click it because it's hard enough for me to click it on purpose. The launch and select buttons have been moved under the A, B, X, and Y buttons, which are more like classic handheld consoles. - The volume slider has been moved up and directly mirrors the 3D depth slider. This pack contains: - New Nintendo 3DS system - 2 sets of Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue Limited Edition Faceplates already installed - Download the code to get special N3DS home screen themes (which are very nice, I might add) - Manual - AR Cards
