Good Quality Valence

The valence served the purpose, but not real stylish. It is thick enough it does block the light even though I was not looking for a valance to do that. I created more style to the valence by inserting a ribbon through the bottom hem area. Doing so with a shortened ribbon created a slightly bunched up puffy effect. Problem solved. I now had a more decorative, stylish valence. I used a metal ruler and tied one end of the ribbon to the ruler in order to more easily get the ribbon through the hem.
