Instant drop of 5-8 degrees - Asus Zenbook 13 with 970 EVO Plus

Plugged a Samsung 970 EVO plus into my new Asus Zenbook 13" and noticed that the temperature was almost always "High" and sometimes "Too" indicates high" in Samsung Magician. The CPU also tends to overheat here, which reduces performance. I mounted this heatsink around the SSD by placing a thin silicon pad on the bottom (non-chip side), a thick silicon pad and a copper heatsink. up. I had to apply a thin layer on the top and bottom. It ended up with the metal case bending a bit. But immediately there was a pretty dramatic improvement in cooling. It climbs from 51 to 45 degrees when idling and from about 61 to 45 degrees. 56c under heavy load. I think a slight flexing of the case might help the CPU and GPU stay cool, although I'm not sure. The difference in cooling performance between my Zenbook and I suspect the CPU/GPU are now cooled a bit better as the SSD transfers heat to the case so nicely. If you search YouTube you will also find a great installation video on how to use this product as the instructions are a bit minimal. .
