Love this cable for my 70# Pitbull mix. She's a flight hazard, so she can't roam our fenced yard. We had a 30ft cable that was rusty and very stiff and not long enough. This cord allows her to reach most of our garden and she can go inside for us to hang her loose, which we really appreciate in the winter. The reflective cover seems to help some, but I don't think it's essential for us. I didn't think I would like the carbine but I ended up liking it. It's so reliable it only takes a few seconds to tighten. Since we can connect it with the cable inside, we never have to worry about it slipping away from us. Honestly, this is the best purchase we've ever made for our dog.
