I like the fact that it tracks all tickets from a specific year. Also allows for more information to be gathered if needed. I don't like how they have changed their interface recently. There are now many different ways to search a ticket. It was much better when you could just click on "show details" and see everything at once. I also dislike how they've started putting extra fields in certain searches so that the user's info has to be filled out multiple times. For example, you can only search by specific time or date range with precinct information. You have to search by individual officer without that information first if you just want to look up one person. That may not seem like an issue but sometimes you need to know who wrote a ticket and by what officer. Maybe I'm missing some advantage. This is used primarily for the department where I work and we use it occasionally for our private cases as well. PrecinctConnection is a great tool for police departments. The platform makes it easy to record all information related to an incident. It's a one stop shop. The software is a bit more expensive than other options and I don't like that the software sometimes freezes or takes a long time to load. We've been able to record all complaints related to incidents. We've been able to access all incident reports and have easy access to all information within the incident reports.
