Good light. It would be difficult to install - as many people have pointed out, but my wife still managed to overlook it - if you don't have enough wiring space in your junction box due to the pre-fitted flush mount base. a workaround (yes, this will probably void the warranty, but whatever) that I didn't see in the reviews. Take it apart, flip the base and reassemble. Seems complicated? It is not. If you can screw a lightbulb into this thing, then you can do it. The glass dome of the lamp is secured to the base with nuts and bolts and the electrical connections are secured with a standard bolt/washer/lamp tube assembly. You'll need a small Phillips screwdriver and pliers/hemostats/whatever to hold the cumbersome little nuts. Everything is easy to understand. Assuming you don't mind a little boredom, take the lamp apart, flip the base and screw everything back on. Took me about 10 minutes from start to finish. Voila - you still have a flush mounted Moravian Star lamp, but *now* you have a lamp with a previously unavailable inch of cord storage to work with. From there it rose slightly, like installing a conventional ceiling lamp. Note that if you just screw the lampshade directly to the base like I did (i.e. I couldn't fit a regular lightbulb (I'm not sure I would have fitted it prior to my modifications). I have a couple of star bulbs at home that were made by different companies, and everyone worries about which bulbs will suit them no matter what the manufacturers suggest.) but the chandelier style (flame-shaped? Whatever you call it.) worked fine.. IMHO sees this bulb looks better than the round garden bulb, but I can rationalize.
