We needed to hang a room divider curtain over a 65" opening. This rod is sturdy enough to hang a two sided curtain that is 8' long. The two end cap rods slip over a thinner interior rod which connects them and adjusts in length to your needs. Since we are nearly maxing out the adjustable length on this rod set the center slightly dips which makes the rod look flimsy and cheap. The rod hangers are easy to install and come with all the hardware you'll need to install it into either drywall or a stud. The rod simply sits on the hangers and the end caps thread onto the ends of the rod.The majority of the time we have the room dividing curtains drawn open so the rod is only supporting itself. Still, it sags and dips noticeably in the center. When the curtains are in use across the rod is supports them just fine, I'm not worried about the rod collapsing under the weight of the curtains. But the sag is an eyesore, I wish the system had a center holder for the rod instead of just two end holders.
