Review on FRX23 6 Turntable Belt 23 6 Circumference by Kyle Robbins

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on you!

Bought two of these straps a year ago to repair two Technics turntables from around 1980. These belts came standard with "Made in China" packaging. I installed one, but it seemed to me that the belt was stretched, very tight. I vowed not to use any other belt, I measured it and it was only 21 inches long. Now I know why it was covered. A year later I'm in the process of overhauling a second turntable. I did a little research and found the correct belt you need is FRB FRX 23.6. I ordered one from Revain for a second turntable, arrived yesterday, opened it up and guess what? 21"! Packaging of an unused 1 year old belt checked, identical to the standard packaging except the new belt packaging has a sticker just above the original sticker identifying the new belt as FRB FRX 23.6. Same belt, same packaging a new sticker on top of the old one, underneath you can see the original sticker. Now, unless FRB is ordering the wrong length universal strap from China, it is not an FRB product. My mistake was that I accidentally ordered it from the same seller. I made up my mind left the product description and didn't realize my mistake until I opened it and then checked my order from last year Fool me twice shame on me One doesn't fit If you use a 2.6" long belt the bearings in the belt will wear out engine faster. Then you can buy a new turntable faster. By the way, the original FRB belt costs about $10. This one cost $5 so I should have known better.
