Pinzon's perfect shade of blue-grey with hints of grapes is not too light purple

This is the second set of Pinzon flannel towels I have purchased. I really liked the first pair! Thick, durable, soft, doesn't curl, washes well, does shrink a bit, lasts for years - I bought the first pair 4 years ago and still doesn't curl. This time I wanted a soft gray or "lavender" for my DiL? I chose lavender. I would like someone to describe the type of purple. This is NOT lavender. Here it is: a perfect bluish gray from Pinzon with a drop of grapes added to the dye batch. The color shown on my monitor is spot on. It goes well with the soft gray and mauve that my sister-in-law loves. Someone described it as bright purple. It's not this sentence. The color continues to be printed. The back is mostly white, with some color showing through in the light. There was no fading as some have commented. The dryer is not full of lint after drying. The only downside I have to say is that on chilly winter evenings you want a top sheet that leaves plenty of overhang for both you and your man. The queen set doesn't give as much overhang as I would like. I always buy a king-size bed sheet, wash the sheets well in hot water, dry them in very warm water - twice in case it shrinks - and then sew a king-size fitted sheet to fit my queen mattress - must just shorten one side. I'm glad I can sew. Someone mentioned tight royal pillowcases - true. Queen with lace veil - perfection! The quality of the flannel and the low price justify the extra effort.
