This is my first pack of Lumina Clay but I suspect it has partially set in the pack. Compared to other air drying resins I've tried (Modena and Makins), the Lumina I received was dry and stretchy. It's too stiff to stretch (it tears instead) and doesn't stick to itself well. When I knead and fold it, it doesn't form a homogeneous mass, but remains a series of increasingly thin layers that don't fuse together. Adding some water didn't seem to help much. I suspect that fresh Lumina clay is wetter and softer and easier to work with, but I can't say for sure. In any case, the packaging is inadequate for this tone. It was wrapped in saran-type plastic wrap and then placed (along with the label) in a zip-top plastic bag that contained some air. Common sense dictates that air dried clay should be vacuum packed in an airtight plastic or mylar sleeve. Yes. Since nobody else mentions it in their reviews, I would like to remind users that Lumina Clay prevents Platinum Cure (food grade) silicones from curing. You can still make a silicone mold from a Lumina model, but first you'll need to carefully seal the model with something like acrylic or polyurethane spray.
