I have just received the unit with the HDD and SSD attached. Works great with a USB 3.0 port as expected. With USB 3.1 the connection breaks off as soon as I transfer data. The system recognizes the device as a USB 3.0 device connected to a USB 3.1 port. I just ordered a Thunderbolt 3 cable, both ends are TYPE C. If that doesn't work and behave the same I will be returning this ASMedia ASM1351 chipset storage. Hornetek device. The ASMedia ASM1351 chipset claims to support USB 3.0 and nothing higher. I'll update my bottom line once I get and use the Thunderbolt 3 cable.
