I use a ruler to measure gaps in guitar tuning. I need to place the end of the ruler over the fret and the Measure the distance between it and the bottom of the string. This line is perfect for that. The measuring end of the ruler seems to be offset by an incredibly small amount, resulting in a small gap at one end of the ruler. I want the 1 /64 inch division is moved to the end of the measurement.
