I bought a set of four AT&T SL80108 (AT&T SL82418) about 6 months ago when I switched my phone service from Verizon to Vonage. At the time I was planning to use Verizon as my ISP and didn't want to upgrade my home phone system because you can't mix DSL lines with regular phone lines. The system worked so well that I decided to buy another expansion unit. After having the entire AT&T SL82418 system, I decided to use the house wiring system for my old phones, but it introduced a lot of noise throughout the system. Eventually I switched to RoadRunner's internet service, a little more expensive but I don't have to deal with Verizon and their many add-ons to my phone bill. February 2013 update. One of my phones had a battery problem. : phone "died" in 45 minutes. I replaced the battery and I can now use the phone for more than two hours at a time.
