Nice but doesn't work

The box with the timer was already open (the seal was broken, so that was the first warning that there was a problem). The rest of the timer looked fine. I tested it and was disappointed that it didn't work. The timer clicks during the countdown, but there is no sound at the end of the timer. He just stops. No call, nothing. My guess is that someone returned a defective one and shipped it without checking it first.
