Excellent packaging, the timer is nice but the instructions are reversed. his package. The timer is beautiful and almost looks like a work of art. The alarm is not too loud so it won't disturb pets, babies or neighbors. The moving dial has a smooth matte rubber-like finish. Despite the looks, it's not very difficult. Its appearance is such that it seems it can be as heavy as a paperweight. However, the first timer test was unsuccessful. I set the timer for 5 minutes, put it on a perfectly flat surface and left it alone. The bell rang 3 times - each time a short ding - before the timer stopped ticking. I tried another test for 30 minutes. It was slightly better, but the timer kept ticking about 1 minute after the alarm went off. I ran a third test that consisted of two parallel tests—a 5-minute timer test and a 5-minute Alexa test. Again he was on level ground and I didn't bother him. The kitchen timer made a single RINGING after about 3 minutes, then NEVER RINGED AGAIN. It stopped ticking as soon as the Alexa timer rang. I ran this test again, but this time I turned the dial all the way to the left where it should be 60 minutes and then turned it all the way to the right at 5 minutes. Beautifully listed. It ticked a few seconds longer than the Alexa timer, but not much longer. For example 5 seconds. From this we can conclude that the directions are reversed. If you are only using the timer for a short time (less than 30 minutes), turn the dial clockwise and then counterclockwise until the desired time is reached. If you're using the timer for a long period of time (30 minutes or more), simply set the dial to the desired time.
