Installed on the floor of the truck. Even without a 10" tablet in the mount just to check how stable the mount is, everything was shaking too much. It was obvious that it couldn't stay stable during movement, rendering it useless. So I did modified the bracket by bending it at a slightly 90 degree angle and attaching it to the dash. I then cut the aluminum rod down to about 6" along with the gooseneck to tighten it and bend it 90 degrees. This length was sufficient to eliminate jitter, just keeping the length of the rod to a minimum is key.
