I mainly use it for dusting record mats, not for cleaning records. I have a 5 step deep cleaning method that I use to deep clean dirty records and I use a carbon fiber brush before and after play. I love the design of this cleaning roller and it is better made than the rollers used to remove lint from clothes. It's also not that sticky. For me and my use it's better that way because it doesn't remove the cork from my mats. I also like the case, it's very neat and compact. I'm not sure it'll really get deep into the groves for those of you thinking of using it to clean records. If you press very hard on a stable surface, it might go deeper into the groves. Sounds like a really serious situation to me. Of course, the five-stage cleaning method with a vacuum cleaner and steam cleaner should not be taken lightly.
