I often feel uncomfortable wearing shoes that are too tight at the top of the foot. Due to the wide version of these shoes, this is not a problem. I worked 14 hours on concrete in these shoes and thanked my lucky star for the right pair. No friction problems. Lots of pillows. They are very sweet. Comfortable for walking and helps with hip, ankle and knee pain due to misalignment. This depends on the shape of your foot, but if you have a higher arch it's definitely worth considering. I usually wear a size 7.5 without socks / 8 with socks. The 7.5 inches in these shoes fit me perfectly with a sock so they are a little larger than expected.
