Use this to step down my 18v Milwaukee batteries to power a portable guitar amp. I can get HOURS of power when alkaline batteries only last a few minutes. A high draw amp uses all kinds of juice, but Milwaukee batteries are great! I could pack the device in a box and unload the cables. I can see the cables failing due to voltage as the unit is sealed. Some moisture is not a problem for this device. Maybe for my traffic jams. Oh, with a reversing cable, I can power a power-hungry pedal set for days! All I need is to build a battery holder to hold it in place. I mean it replaces the pedal that way, but keep an extra charged battery in your pocket? Don't worry about the juice.
