The 20x20" oven filter is popular with the handheld types because you can turn on a 20x20" fan, stick the oven filter on the suction side and stay there and collect dust. It's a fast, cheap, portable and efficient dust collection system. I am currently using mine to build a positive pressure air filtration system to protect my staff from potentially contagious customers. Better than nothing and affordable. Make sure the fan has enough airflow to avoid overheating. Covering the open triangles at the top and bottom allows you to mount the two filters on the back of the fan at an angle, which improves airflow and reduces fan load, and the filters last longer. never received a shipped filter that wasn't easily dented, but that didn't affect structural integrity or usability.
