I find this more practical for peeling strawberries. The teeth are not pointed straight ahead (towards the tomato) but slightly outwards. I find this a very useful strawberry tool. Once you become familiar with them, it will go very quickly. But the skin of tomatoes resists the bite, especially if the skin is not entirely fresh. I was a bit disappointed when I received it and the price sticker was right on the product and didn't peel off. So first I had to use Goo Be Gone to remove the sticky sticker on it and then put it in the dishwasher to get rid of the Goo Be Gone smell.
