I have a Creative iRoar and an iRoar Rock subwoofer. I liked these speakers which are now out of production. The previous model is a great speaker in its own right and when you put it on the dock the sound is really shocking. I sing and direct a small choir, and the previous generation was very useful for playing backing files and other elements, or as a portable outdoor rehearsal mic. Is this the real version? Not as much. I was thrilled to see that Creative released a new, portable and waterproof version of the iRoar Go. Sign me, I thought. I received the speaker and found it to be slightly smaller than the previous model. That bothered me, but I was hoping that Creative had managed to pack the same sound into a smaller package. So I uploaded it. As I expected. The weak sound of this device is only a small part of what the old speaker puts out. It's too small to be used as a true room-filling speaker, but too big to be portable. Even with the "Roar" setting turned on, it doesn't even fill my living room with sound, let alone the room where my choir rehearses. I am very disappointed in this product and even more disappointed that Creative has discontinued the original iRoar and its subwoofer which is vastly superior to this newer version.
