the reflective bits on the leash are only on one side and they are small and not very noticeable. i like the bright colors and it seems to be sturdy. i would not buy this for a dog that likes to chew leashes, my big dog chewed threw this in a matter of seconds. the smaller dogs still have their leashes working (same leashes different colors). if you have a leash chewer i'd suggest a chain for a leash until the dog learns not to chew its leash. if you get this leash consider getting a matching collar from the same company, their martingale collars are sturdy, functional and a perfect match for color and patterns.
