I bought this pre tied tie for my 9 year old son who is too small for his age. He wears size 6 shirt. Tie size 4-7 and it fits him perfectly. It falls right on the belt. I also bought a child's tie in the same fabric from the same manufacturer for my 10 year old son who wears a size 12 shirt. Both ties are perfect for both boys. An untied tie would have reached my 9 year old son's knees. My 9 year old could probably wear this tie for another year if it helps you decide which one to buy. The fabric of this tie is beautiful and is a classic pattern! My sons have a choir performance and they need navy blue, gold and green ties. This tie is perfect!
