As some other people have pointed out, these shoes have an odd protruding heel. The fact that it's unsightly didn't bother me. What bothered me is that I tend to step on it with my other shoe when getting up from a chair. I suspect that sooner or later it will be torn apart. What confuses me more is that there is an uncomfortable seam on the instep. If I walk a lot, I'll soon get a nasty blister. I considered returning them but decided to keep them as my #2 shoe to wear at home. I suggest you look for something better.
