Nice Food Steamer: Small Appliances

When I decided to make baby food for my son, I cooked his fruits and vegetables every week before putting them in the blender. Later, as he got older, I learned that all the nutrients from them are digested. When my next baby was born I decided to buy a steamer to stay healthy. I bought an Oster steamer. To use it, fill the bottom compartment with water. There is a minimum line and a maximum line. I usually fill it up right in between. Then fill the plastic compartments with fruit, vegetables, meat or whatever else you want to cook. There is a plastic ring in the middle that separates the two compartments. This allows you to do two different things at the same time. You can use both or just one. After you cover it, there is a knob that you can use to set the time you want the steamer to work. This might take a while. I usually set it to 40-45 minutes for fruit and 45-50 minutes for vegetables. This is done so that the food becomes very soft for a pureed state. You can cook it for a shorter time to keep the vegetables firmer. I've never used it for meat, so I can't comment on that. Some people say their vaporizer leaked during use. I've only had this once when I poured too much water in it and it went past the max mark. You must be careful not to do this. Pros: - Easy to use - Light weight - Easy to clean Cons: - Leaks if overfilled with water - Bottom compartment sometimes bubbles and looks foamy during cooking, but it isn't. It seems that fruits and vegetables are not damaged. This is a plastic vape with plastic compartments compared to other more durable vapes, but it gets the job done for me. I've had it for almost 8 months now, I use it about once a week and it still works the same way. I am happy with my purchase.
