This meat grinder is ideal for chicken and veal cutlets. It's heavy, so it doesn't require a full lift and swivel. The head covers a large area, which makes work even easier. How well it works, I'm completely satisfied. I think the head is stainless steel but it's not listed in the product description (as opposed to just lb). As described, the handle unscrews to switch sides of the head. This makes it easier to clean the base in the dishwasher. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting the pen in a hot sanitization cycle. I would rate this product 5 stars but the bolt that goes in the head is held by a nut on the handle which immediately came loose a bit.
