If you are looking for a cheap stackable container then this product is for you. However, I recommend storing staples that weigh less than 40 pounds in a basket (about 18 kg). Containers begin to collapse when stacking 40 pounds or more. There are no latches to secure the lid. So if you are looking for a lockable lid, this product is not for you. There are two ways to open the containers: 1) they have a sloping lid for easy access for scooping or picking up produce, and 2) a large lid that opens for easy filling (it needs to be disassembled to do this). There are no legs so the lower basket sits squarely on the floor. I recommend installing bins on the platform; Raise the lower basket to a height where your back doesn't hurt when you bend down to use it. I hope you found this information useful.
