I had high hopes for this thread. Unfortunately, this may be an exaggeration. I received my order today and am currently using it in my second print. The first started fine - until a break/flat on the filament hit the extruder and the extruder stopped extruding and skipped the break/flat. On a new roll. After noticing a gap after about 10 minutes, I paused the print, pulled the filament out of the hot end and extruder, cut it at the crease, reinserted it, and continued printing. About 90 minutes later it hit another kink/flat spot and this time I didn't notice it for 15 minutes before repeating the pause/refeed sequence. Unfortunately, 25 minutes with no filament coming out spoiled the print. I made sure the spool wasn't too tight and tried again. This time he walked for almost 2 hours, then there was another pause and he started sliding again. I looked closely and noticed it after only 2 minutes but I'm afraid it will keep happening even after my resubmission. So the spool is practically useless if I have to pull/cut/refeed the filament every 100-120 minutes of printing, and any layers trying to print until it's extruded have a good chance of ruining the print. Looking at the spools it looks carelessly wound, I can see a few spots where the filament twists on itself and a few spots where the filament has been squashed against the side of the (clear) spool huh resulted in creases and flat spots. I have 20 spools of filament here and that's the only problem I've ever had. I'll let the current print finish (watch out for pull/cut/refeed) and then ask for a refund. Not sure I even need a replacement given how messy the coil is wound - I'm afraid I'll just end up with another bad coil. Very disappointed - I've heard good things about Sunlu and this is the first spool I've bought from them (I've also received another white PLA filament from Sunlu, I haven't opened the sealed box yet so I'll have a look watch carefully and if it looks like a careless wind, it will come back too).
