I had to purchase this kit to replace the belts and tensioners on my 2009 VW Jetta 2.5L. I bought a longer and standard triple square bit set but there was no way to fit the ratchet and bit between the car frame and the bolts that hold the standard pulleys and tensioner. Even with the short set, I still had to use a special thin serpentine strap wrench with short bits to get between the bolts and the car frame to loosen the bolts. VW is too cluttered and difficult to work with! I will never buy a German car again!
