Review on πŸ’¦ MSI MAG CORELIQUID 360R: Advanced Rotatable Blockhead Design with 360mm Radiator and Triple 120mm aRGB PWM Fans - AIO CPU Liquid Cooler by Brian Hood

Revainrating 4 out of 5

If it can tame the FX 8350 @ 4.7, it will gobble up anything Ryzen can throw at it.

This is my first AIO in 20 years as an enthusiast. Nothing I've bought with air could tame an overclocked AMD FX 8350 @ 4.8GHz and I've had a Wraith Stealth RGB and a Core Frozr L. They were good at stock 4.1 max but just couldn't get past 4.2 Cut mustard. My job was to prove that this incredible processor is a great alternative to the absolutely disgusting state that's happening with the new Ryzen 5xxx and Nvidia RTX. I wanted to prove that I could get close to the same MS Flight Simulator 2020 performance as a Ryzen 3 equipped with an overpriced and hyped RTX GPU. I was right and I've noticed a lot of people doing the same thing, as evidenced by the price of used AM3+ 990FX mobile devices, approaching the $300 mark in some cases. When I got to the super stable 4.4 I was already impressed, then went to 4.5 out of curiosity, 4.6, then stopped at 4.7 but I still have some headroom. I'll give a hint to people who are having trouble. This AIO and its "terrible fans" are designed to be top mounted rather than front mounted. I can't express enough how easy was it to set it up as your first AIO and NOISE timer? What noises? Absolutely 100% Bentley among Volkswagen priced AIOs. If you think you're going to get better hardware with expensive old Corsair, Asus tech, or any other AIO with a cumbersome and noisy CPU-mounted pump, hey, that's your money. My experience with this beautiful, quiet, and VERY high quality hardware has been outstanding. *** UPDATE *** One star off for the 3-pin ARGB headers, especially for the very inferior fans. One of my fan's RGB connectors was cut off, and upon inspection I found how loose the male and female ARGB connectors were. It's like they're being forced to connect just once, and then they refuse to stay connected. How difficult is it to make a 3 pin ARGB connector that isn't too loose to carry 5V and a signal? The other two fans are made the same way and I have to use a zip tie to prevent them from falling off the RGB headers.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
