I gave this light to my niece and she loved it. Now there's enough rope to even put up a Christmas tree if you wanted to. Well, one of the big downsides is that it only runs on battery, which can be a little annoying. I wish it had a plug but the battery can last for several hours depending on the light intensity. The settings are printed on the battery case so you can browse them to find the perfect setting for you. It's a fairly bright light, but not so bright that it's blinding. Note that there are flashes of light. So if you're prone to cramps, keep that in mind. The light cord itself is strong enough to hold its shape but not too strong to be moved around. This can work indoors and I wouldn't recommend using it outdoors or in water as you could damage it. It runs on three AA batteries, and the lighting can rotate, flow, or be fixed. Overall I think this product is great but it has limited performance.
