A tip: find out which bag you need BEFORE you order it. I had to send the bag back which was fine but not what I needed. This is exactly the bag I needed. The padding is thick and durable and I have quick access to my gear when I need it, but I can also hide the zippers when I don't need them. The top compartment has room for everything I need to take with me on the plane. Any other small compartments and pockets will definitely come in handy. One cool thing Lowepro does is they have little pictures of what goes where. If you're not sure what the bag was for, there's probably a little picture that will tell you. Update March 22, 2018: I picked up the bag on a recent trip to Washington DC. It was delicious! I had more than enough space for everything, easy access to my camera when I needed it and it was very comfortable to carry. No problem getting through TSA or Capitol Security. It easily fits under the plane seat and over his head. This bag was just what I needed for my travels. I'm switching my gear back to a smaller gadget bag for work. Update July 3, 2018: Now this bag is always with me. That's not what it was designed for, but it's so well made and thought out that it's perfect for whatever I need to do at work. The raincoat came in very handy last week. I had to walk across campus in the pouring rain and my gear was safe and sound. worth your money!
