I waited a few months to write my review. We purchased this for my 7-yr-old son in Dec. 2020. It was the perfect speed for learning. My son didn't really know how to balance yet so I was nervous about the speed. He learned to balance in a few days and after a few months he is ready for something a little faster. He really liked the foot break, and I liked that you had to have your foot on the sensor for the scooter to go, and if he took his foot off it slowed to a stop. The only complaint I have is that the charger cover ripped within the first 2 months. We put Velcro over it to keep the dirt out.
