Normal underwear. They are like a kids bikini neckline and I would of course have preferred them to be a bit wider and shorter for better width coverage (more traditional kids style). The proportions seem a bit disproportionate for the age group. The thicker belt is convenient as it is easy to pull up and down and the cotton is good quality and soft. The inner lining is also soft, but not particularly absorbent - this is not training underwear. We will keep them as spare underwear for school but not for everyday use. The prints are super cute.
