The first time my husband bent the blade I thought it was user error. We then tried slicing the sweet potato and (although it fit perfectly in the small potato space, we could NOT get it through the blades and it kept popping off the table even though we had the suction cup attached well enough to hold it). prying off blades and risking cutting yourself.When we encountered the same issue and had issues with the plastic block slipping and being cut by the blades I gave up.Time to spend more money and get a higher quality product.
