This is a fantastic flea comb. I like everything about it. The handle is nice, the right length and shape. The comb catches fleas easily. My animals decided they liked it too, even the calico cat! I can not live without her. It's strong and I'm sure it will last forever. I preferred it to others as it looked quality and it is. I put it in a cup of soapy water after combing and then wash off the fleas when I'm sure they're very dead, or wave it around to knock them out of the water if I'm going to attack more than one animal. My boxer comes over and tells me he needs a Pet Rebublique comb if he gets fleas! He realized very quickly that by scratching his butt and twisting it in a certain way (which only boxer wearers would understand) I was giving myself the message that the itchy creature needed to be removed.
