The box was packed very well, three corners, lots of foam, don't worry about damage! It comes with OPTIONAL hardware! The instructions are just pictures that contain all the information needed for assembly, but you need to be very careful. If you're distracted, it's easy to flip the shape the wrong way. All the hardware and parts are labeled, and if you follow the pictures exactly (the final drawer slide uses the FIRST hole, not the middle one like the other three) you can assemble it yourself in about an hour.
